Right as the 1983 model year LTD came out, now refreshed in the famous “Fox” platform, racing school teacher Bob Bondurant needed a sporty car with more seats, to carry more students along for each lesson, so after dropping in various mustang parts into an LTD, including the famous 5.0 V8 engine, Ford executives were excited to bring Bondurant’s 4-door Mustang into the market, creating the Ford LTD LX for 1984 and 1985.

The LTD LX has bigger sway bars, the 5.0 V8 making 165bhp, bigger brakes, with front disk brakes, a 4-speed automatic transmission (That’s why you shift so slowly), stiffer suspension, and a tachometer, making this a great base for tuners… and cops.

Similar police packages were sold in decent numbers in its production run, although otherwise it sold very little, as it did not play well enough into any niche.

-All four doors open. (Extra D for rear left door, Extra E for rear right door)
-Realistic colors suited to Ford’s catalog for the model years 1984 and 1985
-Hood and trunk open (Extra B for trunk, Extra C for hood)
-Reverse lights
